ErCam Editions
Welcome to Ercam Editions, imprint of Holy Family Hermitage, the U.S. foundation of the Congregation of the Camaldolese Hermits of Montecorona. The imprint is derived from the religious order initials “er. cam.” or “Er. Cam.” This is an abbreviation for eremita camaldulensis, which means “Camaldolese hermit”.

Publications of the Camaldolese Hermits of Montecorona in the U.S.A.

1. CAMALDOLESE SPIRITUALITY: Essential Sources. Translation, notes, and introduction by Peter-Damian Belisle: 2007, xviii + 267 pages, $16. Includes The Life of the five Hermit Brothers, by St. Bruno of Querfurt; the Life of St. Romuald, and Dominus Vobiscum, by St. Peter Damian; and the Constitutions and Rule of Bl. Rudolf. 2. THE EREMITIC LIFE: Encountering God in Silence and Solitude. By Fr. Cornelius Wencel, Er. Cam. 2007, 225 page, $14. The Polish author is a devoted student of modern theology, especially the thought of Von Balthasar. This is a general portrait of the hermit life aimed at the contemporary layman.

3. IN PRAISE OF HIDDENNESS: The Spirituality of the Camaldolese Hermits of Montecorona. By a Camaldolese Hermit, edited by Fr. Louis-Albert Lassus, O.P.: 2007, 108 pages, $9. The anonymous author shares the fruits of over 30 years of Camaldolese dedication.

By the example of St. Romuald,
confirm us in Your service, Lord,
and bring to completion in us,
until the day of Christ,
the work of salvation that You have begun.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
